Proposal for an apartment building in Wallisellen. The building takes advantage of the local building code on a small site to propose terrace apartments for seven parties.
Hiromi Hosoya is teaching an advanced options studio at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. The studio with the title “New Metabolism” is researching possibilities and generating projects for redeveloping the site of the World Exhibition 1970 in Osaka.

MASTERPLAN INSELSPITAL – BERN, SWITZERLAND
This masterplan competition was organized by the department of real estate and buildings of the canton Bern together with the hospital “Insel”. Hosoya Schaefer Architects were one of nine international offices which pre-qualified for the competition.

Hosoya Schaefer won the competition for Smartinska Parntership, a 230ha integrated masterplan in Slovenia, and completed its first phase in May 2009.

Engadin Airport near Samedan – St. Moritz, Switzerland, held a competition for a new airport building including a large restaurant, a hotel, facilities for events, and hangars for aircrafts, helicopters and gliders. Overall a total of 28’000 sqm had to be planned when including parking space.

The custom furniture has been developed in collaboration with Quinze & Milan’s designer Alain Gilles. An earlier concept has been developed with a dutch industrial designer, Jan Melis. The furniture aims at being as simple and comfortable as possible. The furniture is executed in QM FOAM ™ and powder coated steel tubes.
